Q. How do I join Article-This?
A. Joining Article-This is quick, easy and free. Register by filling in your user name/email and your password will be emailed to you.
Q. Do you really allow Do-follow Links?
A. Yes, we really do. In order for us to continue allowing Do-follow links you need to remember not to spam.
Q. How many Links am I allowed per article?
A. You are allowed two Do-Follow Links per article.
Q. Are Affiliate Links allowed?
A. Yes, as long as the article isn’t completely commercial. Readers need to be able to get something of value from the article.
Q. Are articles published instantly?
A. Yes, articles are published instantly and then within the hour a member of the Article-This team will review your article. If all is well it will stay, if it appears to have overly-commercial intent or appears to be spam it will be removed.
Q. What is Revenue Sharing?
A. With Revenue Sharing you gain 80% of the total revenue your article earns… forever. This means you can easily create a passive income as a Freelance Writer.
Q. How do I earn more with Revenue Sharing?
A. In order to earn more with revenue sharing you need to write quality content that people want to read. The more visitors you get reading your articles the more you get paid!
Q. I forgot my eHow username/password, what should I do?
A. Forgot your username/password? No problem. We can email your lost username/password.
Q. How do I change my password?
A. You can change your password from within the dashboard.
Q. How do I publish an article on Article-This?
A. With Article-This, it’s easy to publish articles. Just sign in to your account, and from your profile page, click on the “Add New” button, under “Posts”.
You can also Publish an article by signing in, then from the home page go to “Submit Article” under the “Management” section.
Q. Can I edit an article after I’ve published it?
A. Absolutely. Simply sign in to your Article-This account and click on the “Edit” tab within your profile. Find the article you’d like to edit and click the “Edit” button.
Q. Can I delete an article after I published it?
A. Definitely. Just sign in to your Article-This account and click on the “Edit” tab within your profile. Click on the “Edit” button next to the article you would like to delete and click on the “Delete Article” button.
Q. Where are the articles that I’ve saved as drafts?
A. Find articles you’ve saved as drafts by clicking on the “Edit” tab within your profile. From here you can continue editing your article or, if it’s ready for the world to see, you can go ahead and publish it.
Q. How do I add photos or images to an article?
A. Photos really do speak a thousand words, especially when you’re trying to give instructions! And you can add photos to new articles that you’re writing or to articles you previously published. From your Profile simply go to the Posts area and you can either Add new or Edit an existing post. Look at the top of the editor for the Upload/Insert. You can insert music, video, images, etc..
Q. What does Article-This consider as plagiarism?
A. Plagiarism is a serious problem that faces many online communities. As a result, we thought it would be helpful to dedicate a FAQ to this subject. In a majority of the cases where an article is removed from the Article-This site, plagiarism is the cause. In order to clear up any confusion regarding what the Article-This team considers a plagiarized article, a few basic guidelines are listed below. Please note that these guidelines are not exhaustive.
- Submitting an exact or near exact copy of the language and thoughts of another author, with the intention of representing them as your own original work, constitutes plagiarism.
- Submission of an exact or near exact copy of the language and thoughts of another author, with credit given to the other author’s work, is still considered plagiarism.
- Submitting an article in which the language and thoughts of another author’s work is paraphrased is considered plagiarism.
- Articles you authored in the past that are located on other websites may be published on the eHow site as long as they are the product of your own work and you are using the same byline.
